NAS Cairdeas 200th Anniversary 2015

Laphroaig Cairdeas NAS 2015 200 Anniversary. Light on the peat with a bit of sweetness on the nose. Carries into the palate and finish. Peat and sweetness with maybe some butterscotch. People said this was powerful. The finish lasts a long time but I found it light in its feet. Starting to enjoy these mild peat versions. Category

Cairdeas Cask Strenght Quarter CaskIslay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Bright golden color. Subtle peat on the nose with iodine/brine. Some oak. Bright sweetness as it hits the tongue which quickly moves towards saltiness and slight peat. The alcohol takes over with a warming and slight burning sensation as it washes down. The finish is long and warming with the smokiness of the peat taking over. Balanced yet interesting. — 6 years ago

Caisléan an Pápa Boushey Vineyard Red Blend 2018

Nice little red blend from Cairdeas. Little rare to find a wine from WA that includes some Counoise and it is a welcome addition to this blend. You also can’t go wrong with Boushey fruit 😉 — 3 years ago

Yakima Valley Cinsault 2014

Luscious floral aromatics of rose petals and sandalwood. Light bodied and very quaffable, with bright red fruit (think pie cherries) ringed by white pepper and a hint of caramel (from the barrel I assume). Yum! — 6 years ago
