Disg. 2/14 (07 base)…Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s particularly special to have with some bottle age. It’s absolutely as stunning as hoped—rich and powerful with crazy depth to its layers with a deep, complex core of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all with seamless integration. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced, chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that just stays with you. A BdB benchmark, legendary bubbles. — 3 months ago
We had the 2012 and it was fabulous. All the purity and grace of grand cru Chardonnay, with elegant depth from the honey and nut overtones that age brings. This was a wonderful experience. (Pro tip: Please don’t drink it too cold: you’ll miss so many of the flavors!) — 4 months ago
A blend of 4 grand cru and one blanc de blanc. As good as I have enjoyed from Piper H — 6 months ago
One of the best Champagne’s I’ve had this year, 2014 disgorgement 48mois Les Roises is impeccable, with captivatingly complex aromatics and both richness and purity. It’s deep and enveloping with such textual detail, satiny and vinous with superb fruit definition, old vine concentration and a chalky mineral core. This has always been my favorite cuvée from Olivier Collin—more demonstrative than Les Enfers with that sunny southern exposure always shining through. If Montrachet could sparkle here you have it. — 7 months ago

This is the Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru with fruit sourced from Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger from mostly the 2017 vintage and some from the 2016 vintage. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The NV BdB Grand Cru pours a light straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of tart fruit: green apple, star fruit, split almonds, limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is super fresh and easy to love, in the house style. Drink now but could easily be cellared for years. Disgorged Q2 of 2023. — 7 months ago
#Remembrance #Love 6/25.
Sofia loved Penguins. We played w/ them in Dubai and she also skied indoor while I had a spot of Champagne and watched from a very big window. Only in Dubai. They have to build things of that nature…cus w/o them…just a bunch of sand. — a year ago

2015 base, 2021 disgorged. Stunning out of the gate, fabulous concentration, aromas bursting from the glass. Worth the tariff on allocation, secondary pricing is bananas…. — a month ago
