Opened about an hour before service. No formal notes. The 1996 Château La Rame “Réserve du Château” pours a deep burnished copper/gold color with medium+ viscosity. Layers of delicious dried apricots, candied lemon, honeysuckle, nuts, with perfectly balanced acid. This is a rich and decadent dessert wine that reminds me of Sauternes (as it should considering it's 100% old-vine Sémillion affected by botrytis) and and a lovely pairing with what was an artistic, deconstructed take on a lemon meringue pie. Will probably live forever. — 10 months ago
Solid Sancerre. Fresh. Lemon. Melon. Enough acid. Would totally buy again. — 3 days ago

Killed a baby in Mexico tonight. All bound up and slightly awkward then about two hours in started to show its stuff. Got a few more, don’t touch until 2028, pendejo. — 9 days ago
