17+ very rustic, both nose and palate. Fruit still good, But from my recollection, previous bottles were better. I have 2 more, so we’ll see. — 5 years ago
Smooth and elegant. Acidic w mineral and white pepper notes w just a touch of Brett. I imagine this is what Syrah tasted like 100 years ago. 😊🙏🍷 — 6 years ago
I really liked it. Smooth easy to drink. Can taste the subtleties of the bourbon barrels. 16% alc/vol without harsh alcohol burn. 2016 vintage. — 6 years ago

One of our favorites to drink during our Friday night dungeons and dragons campaigns. Pairs well with both Orcs and Elves which is surprising. — 6 years ago
Bold flavor, very enjoyable. — 7 years ago
Australian Gamay, first time trying. Really good bottle tart red fruit, crisp acidity, black pepper and fresh turned earth on the finish. — 5 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, black currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, chocolates, tobacco, cola, espresso, spice box, cinnamon, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and extremely fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, spices, earth, vanilla, licorice, cloves, light vegetables, alcohol, cola, cinnamon and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a wonderful Grenache blend from the house of Orin Swift. Fruity, big, rich, spicy and interesting.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some tannins (1 hour). After 3 hours in the decanter, the nose really opened up, so be patient with this young wine.
Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Good by itself or with food. A great sipping wine by the porch or with friends.
A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Petite Sirah. Aged in French oak barrels for 8 months (30% new).
15.1% alcohol by volume.
94 points.

Balanced but fruit is front and center through to the finish with a soft velvety tongue. The bourbon barrels come through with a deliciously harmonious, and unique surprise. — 6 years ago
Wedged in between the monumental 2005 and 2007 this wine is more delicate but again a true Rayas. Perfect balance, strong kirsch tones and this endless perfume which comes with a sexy Rayas. Reynaud and Bonneau two opposite wines, both great, for me forget all the rest in red chateauneuf. What a joy and privilege to be allowed to drink this. — 7 years ago
Feels very rich and blueberry end flavor — 4 years ago
Not really a "purist" wine but who cares?... Those guys are a bunch of Jackwagons. It's best to not think of this as a wine and more as a delightful hybrid alcoholic beverage. It is really obvious that the bourbon barrels are heavily influencing the flavor here and that is right up my alley. I wouldn't want every wine to be like that but what this one does, it does well. It's really in a completely different category than a straight-up Zin and should be judged accordingly. — 4 years ago
Absolutely a very good red blend. The flavor is outstanding. Will definitely stock up on this. — 6 years ago
Light pleasing aroma, Darkly red and nearly nontransmissive, the taste extracted from 30 days in rum barrels is distinct and pleasant but not overwhelming. Very smooth. — 6 years ago
Luving Mondavi’s new line of barrel aged wines. A beautiful twist on the same old varietal wines. This merlot is my favorite. I highly recommend the bourbon barrel aged Chardonnay too. — 6 years ago

What a Thanksgiving treat! Lush red fruit with hints of slate and tobacco. Long lingering mid pallet aftertaste. Deep red color. Goes good with a good Cuban cigar. Held up to a varied turkey day menu. Food and wine improved both. Outstanding 🍷🍷🦃🍷🦃🍷 — 3 years ago
