A big Zin! Jammy notes. — 7 years ago

2012 Robert Biale Black Chicken Zin
This is not dark, big but rather fresh, juicy and bright zin. Blackberry, bright cherry and cinnamon. Enjoyable now, but I should have cellared a few more years for my preference.
色の濃い、果実の味わいがしっかりと感じられる骨太なワインではなく、フレッシュで繊細さを兼ね備えたジンファンデル。個人的な好みとしてはもう少し熟成させて飲むべきだったかも。

Love this one — 8 years ago
Pours a thick dark black with almost no head. Chocolate, vanilla, coffee, molasses, and bourbon all playing nicely with each other with no one flavor overpowering the others. A very nice barrel aged stout. — 9 years ago
Wow! Big and bold fruit flavors. Agree with all the other comments. Too bad sold out. — 10 years ago
Excellent spicy Zin to go along with lamb ragu with mint and jalapeño and big rotelle cooked al dente. — 5 years ago
Started off tight and tannic with a lot of green vegetable notes. After about an hour in the decanter all the big fruit came through on the nose and palate. Viscous, but not in bad way. Smooth and velvety finish. — 7 years ago
This was the 1999 Barton Family Reserve zin. Not the big bad wolf. Couldn’t find this in the DB. Amazed it held up. Very soft for a zin, closer to a Pinot, plum, cloves, earth, apricot. — 7 years ago
History begins in 1885, when Osea Perrone, a doctor in San Francisco's Italian community, bought 180 acres near the top of Monte Bello Ridge in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This is 100% Zin! Deep red almost purple. Aromas of cherry fruit and unmistakable Zin spice! In the palate, blackberry and cherry flavors with peppery herb spice integrated with dusty tannins. Lively acidity shows up in the medium finish ending with a big fruit finish. Nice! — 8 years ago
Great zin!! Big and bold, but not as fruity as many zins. Had it with a beef sausage Blue Apron dish. — 9 years ago

Damn, this 2014 vintage is now my favorite WA state Zin, period! Yes, it's hot (16.9%), but Zin is usually hot. This is packed with big, jammy black fruit that eases into sweet leather and peppery notes. This is freaking great!! — 9 years ago
Excellent zin. Big fruit flavor. Nice nose. — 10 years ago
Primarily a Sonoma Zin. A touch of Petite Syrah and Carignan are added. Big black cherry and boysenberry fruit with hints of licorice and black tea. Lots of exotic spice flavors on the finish. Medium bodied. Fresh and juicy, but balanced and especially smooth. Great compliment to barbecue. — 6 years ago
BBQ & Zin night!
1 of 5 Turley zins tonight. This eeked out the win for my favorite Turley of the night. Very full throttle without being rocket fuel like. Big blue and black fruits, charcoal, toasted oak, savory herb and a touch of menthol. — 7 years ago

Big, bold, slightly spicy zin. Great with mushroom burger. Good medium-length finish. BlackBerry, blueberry throughout. Big mouthfeel. Also good by itself in a cold night. — 7 years ago
Surprised by a red zin. So used to white zin that are fruitie that the complex flavor with more of a spicy taste won me over. I am a red zin fan. Light body with a big flavor. — 9 years ago

Big chewy grippy zin, tannin, acid, big fruit- years will do this wonders. Ridge 🎉 — 5 years ago
