2013 Juvenile Zin. Blended from 15 vineyards, but nothing over 25 years old. Big, raspberry, currant, cinnamon aromas. Taste is more restrained with currant, blackfruit, and a mineral edge. Tastes cooler than its 15.4% self.

Turley's 2013 "Juvenile" Zinfadel, drawn from grapes from new vines all over California and blended to create an easy going Zin that feels big right of the bat with intense fruit, black pepper and bit of herbs, but calms quickly without too many tannins. Mild smokiness; decant and wait a bit.

I hate the word, but I guess I'll use it - jammy. The EXTREME alcohol level here implies some sweetness. Boysenberry, smoky pepper, and licorice with fantastic acidity and structure that'll keep it going for years.
