Mexican Nebbiolo! This is super interesting. I would never guess it was Nebbiolo but it’s definitely new world! I get the tar but the trademark roses are missing. Yet in their place there is yummy dirt and black pepper and very ripe blackberries. I like. — 8 years ago

Leather and smoke on the tongue, aromas of green pepper. Nicely balanced and not too boozy or over oaked. Great with steak. — 9 years ago
Capa y densidad media, en nariz fruta negra, regaliz negro. En boca ligero agradable pero con un punto maduro en el final. — 9 years ago
Early tartness moving on to blackberries and dark damp old forest wood lingering taste after about a half hour. Will get another bottle for 2020!

A fabulous example of what a California Chardonnay should be. Hits all the notes and hits them cleanly. — 9 years ago
Weird weird weird. Loved it. Great bridge between a dry rose and my next red.. If you can accept the crazy smell of dusty dirty old clothes, you'll love it. — 10 years ago
A shame it sold out so fast-- glad I held on to some for myself. Still so young. — 11 years ago

Began as a dream of 2 friends, Ed Selyem & Burt Williams, who pursued weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979 in a garage in Forestville, CA, and made their first commercial vintage in 1981. Dark Ruby with complex aromas of black and red fruits with earthy herb scents. On the palate tart cherry and strawberry with cacao, earthy spice and notes of smoke. Aged on French Oak, this wine was well balanced, savory, round tannins, lingering nicely ending with some earthy mineral tones. Has room to age. Very nice! — 8 years ago
Great fruity summer wine — 8 years ago

Rich spicy, full body. Going to be really good with a grilled steak — 9 years ago
16,5/20 — 9 years ago

This is the Garage Wine Co. 2017 Phoenix Frement. I’ve asked Delectable to add it.
One of the more enjoyable nights we’ve had on the trip was meeting Derek Mossman - Owner/Winemaker of Garage Wine Co. and tasting through 15+ wines at his house and then going out to dinner to enjoy the best two wines. The next day we got up and picked in his Truquilemu Vineyard; which is about 35km from the coast.
Macerated lemon, a little cream, citrus blossoms, underripe pineapple, melon, light chalkiness, passion fruit, guava, white flowers, granite mineral, very good acidity and a rich polished finish.
