Tasted this about a year ago. This second bottle does not have the wow factor like the first one. The nose is less fragrant and more meaty, and the palate a bit more herbal and angular, which is probably true to the varietal. Still a very complex wine. Have 1 bottle left and hopefully I can keep my hands off for another 2-3 years.
250 cases, and I believe the wine maker for the vintage is Bevan. Bennett Valley is the smallest, and probably the least known Sonoma sub AVA. — 5 years ago
Full, Bold and plush. Made from Walla Walla grapes. Ripe fruit (plums and black cherry) aromas and flavors. Hints of black pepper, black olives and baking spices. Smooth tannins. Touch of blueberry on the finish. Fruit forward but not over the top. Just a bit hot out of the bottle so decant this one a bit. — 5 years ago
Two words: bold. 😂. An amazingly complex cab from one of our favorite wineries in Napa. Give her some time to breathe and the fun comes out. Stays on the front of your pallet and goes down light. — 7 years ago
2015 was great vintage in Napa for Pinot Noir — 8 years ago
From 100% Wente clones that get max hang time, large and tiny berries packed together, pale lemon with subtle aromas of citrus and stone fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, lemon and lime flavors, crisp acidity, long finish ending with rich mineral character. Perfect now! — 2 years ago
Delicious!!!! Want some more. — 7 years ago
Very dry, tannin , dark purple color - probably requires more time to air. Paired nicely with soft cheese — 8 years ago
Gorgeous melon on the nose, with warm pineapple and melon on the palate. Quite delish and super easy drinking! — 2 years ago
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Nice nose of cedar, licorice, cola, Indian spices, chocolates and tobacco.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, spices, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso, eucalyptus, light vegetables and herbs.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 4 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Yountville is already delicious. Fruit forward and elegant. Soft and smooth.
Showing nice complexity. Still young but already enjoyable even by itself.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour in the decanter. A good quality wine.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. This Single Vineyard has good potential to become a 94 +point wine.
A good sipping wine that will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. Aged for 19 months in (55% new) French Oak barrels. Only 7,200 bottles made.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Deliciously decadent, yet balanced Pinot that held up nicely with a Porterhouse steak! Ample plum, black cherry and sweet earthy notes with velvety-smooth tannins — 5 years ago

Improved more with decanting. Mouthfeel started on the lighter side but developed quite nicely and followed with blackberry — 7 years ago

Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Merlot, Malbec and Petite Verdot blended in. Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of black berry/currant/cherry with additional notes of dried figs and tobacco. Dark fruit also on the palate with hints of dark chocolate, plums, roasted nuts, sweet spices and earth. Lovely hint of graphite on the long finish. Full bodied but so savory well balanced. Velvety tannins. Thanks for sharing this one during Super Bowl LIX, Mark S! — a year ago
