Oily and tropical. Usually not a fan of the Rhône whites but this was lovely — 5 years ago
Regal red-black color and thin legs on the glass. Yummy black currant and jam in the nose with a hello from citrus and celery. So much plum and rasin on the tongue with a bold smooth feel. Clean finish along with some tannin and cinnamon in the lips. Fair Drinkum. — 6 years ago
Fantastic Cab Franc heavy blend. Ben knows how to work with CF. Actually surprisingly good with smoked bacon. — 7 years ago

A slightly unusual Riesling, more on the sweeter side than I’m used to, with distinct but delicate stone fruit flavours prominent on the front palate. The more typical Riesling citrus buzz is still evident, but only has a supporting role on the back of the palate, along with a fine quartz like minerality. Also missing is the usual Riesling acidity. The wine much softer than typical, but far from flabby, the balance exquisite. Bloody delicious actually. An unexpected gem. — 8 years ago
Keepin' it local (ish). — 8 years ago
Monthly WTF wine group. Special event this month as Ben provided all ‘80s Napa cabs. A few of us chipped in and provided some whites/bubbly.
Toasted Graham cracker, cassis, and even some old cedar wood. Structure was still in tact and young tasting. — 6 years ago
Nice dark red color, aromas of cherry, herbs and creme se cassis. Smooth- niche blend of Cab and Shiraz. — 7 years ago

Should have aged this wine for a decade. Forest and ocean mist, limestone quality to the tannin structure. Excellent wine. — 8 years ago
Right out of the bottle faint post rain rock, moss, and leather first pour nose showing deep red front-mouth fruit with youthful tannins that will coax your tongue to the roof of your mouth and groovy acid slowing things down letting the moment linger, penetrate, and compliment the amazing meatballs served up by Ben Barker (of Magnolia Grill Durham) at his son's amazing new pizzeria, in Carrboro, NC (do not miss!!)
More on this wine soon, but @13% alcohol and low $s, it's good stuff for sure! — 8 years ago

Tasted blind, friend thought French, Sancerre- the elegance is, but has a slightly viscous body ( which for me is more Viognier, but what do I know about Marsanne? ). Quite delicious, & subtle. Lemon grass, our Aussie adventures continue. About 20$. Good value. — 5 years ago
