My experience w Becker Riesling is they demand patience, air, & time. As a ‘22 & the lower end of the price spectrum ( for Becker- abt 23$) , this bottling felt as closed as a clam but peeking through were dry notes of salt taffy, hearts of palm, white pith fruits, & a saline nature to the whole affair. Decant the hell out of it or revisit in 3-4 years. — a month ago

Here’s a curveball. It opens up to soaked wet corn notes and evolves to plush red fruit on the palate; good backbone, firm tannins, full bodied, high alcohol, big, bold and yes, (Malbec) is bigger (when made) in Texas. — a year ago

Dusty, slightly darker cherry, a hint of plum, nice undergrowth. A bit of tree bark. Darker. Powerful on the palate with strong tannins, zippy acidity. Currently finishes off a bit dry, needs a lot of time! — 2 years ago
