Nose - pineapple, lemon zest, vanilla. Taste - citrus fruit and great vanilla flavor, little bit of caramel. Full bodied, with a good balance. Really good! — 5 years ago

My father has a case of these 1983 BV in his father’s wine collection. Have sat undisturbed for a few decades since my grandfather passed. Opened this for Easter dinner if braised lamb shanks. Had some cork breakage but decanted and let it breathe… it was quite delicious! Looking forward to drinking the rest of his collection! — 3 years ago

Dark fruit, a touch oaky still but still a medium bodied wine, fruit forward with tannins that have a nice texture and some richness to the palate. Very nice QPR.
Fruits noirs, mures, boisé pas tout à fait digéré mais une bouche de corps moyen assez avenante avec un beau fruité assez riche, bouche savoureuse avec des tannins qui ont une belle texture. Très bien pour le prix. 89-90

Comme toujours très beau, du fruit blanc, des notes très légèrement beurrées et une petite touche de bois perceptible compte tenu surement de la jeunesse du vin, bel équilibre entre une acidité bien dosée et une certaine rondeur, sans être riche, très bien mais à attendre selon moi. 90-91
As usual gorgeous wine, white fruit,a very slight buttery and oaky touch, mothing too much, nice balance between acidity and roundness, nothing too heavy, very nice but needs some time in the cellar in my humble opinion. — 3 years ago
Grapey and somewhat lacking in complexity/tannins. Tried it against a 2018 b cellars merlot and it didn’t match up well. — 4 years ago
Dark fruit, meaty slightly, some red peppers too. Palate is soft for a young Alliet, open knit, nice fruit and tannins that are approchable, the balance is good and the elegance is there already.

Tres beau sauternes! En demi bouteille...il a perdu le côté petrolé qui me fait pas tripper....et on a tout simplement un beau sucre. Tire d éponge, miel, abricot confit et belle texture sans sensation de lourdeur. Bravo!
