Signature Bailey wine, volatility evident with lovely spice and lifter nose from Viognier. Also some tart cherry evident which was unexpected. β 10 months ago
Good mid palate weight and purity. Red sweet raspberries get swamped in grippy acid and savoury notes. excellent balance. Good but not great p/q β 5 years ago

This 2018 Rossj-Bass continues to impress with its vibrant and layered expression. On the nose, the Sauvignon Blanc influence lends bright aromatic lift, offering ripe peach, zesty lemon peel, and a delicate touch of passionfruit, all woven together with nuances of almond and a whisper of jasmine. The palate is beautifully balanced, round and texture with a medium-full body, yet lifted by a lively, refreshing acidity. The finish is polished and harmonious. Effortless drinkability. β 9 months ago
Itβs been a while between Curly pinots. Always a joy to open one, with fond memories attached along with the pleasure of the wine itself. Despite five years from vintage, this is still young and stern but elegant. Clear lines and structure, a spicy, cedary top note amongst red fruit and firm but soft tannins. Clean, Iβd call it, plus whole bunch characters. Quality pinot undoubtedly, that should improve even more. β 4 years ago

Mid to pale crimson - actually transparent. The pale colour belies the aromatic and palate intensity. Aromatics of cherry and raspberry transforming on to the medium bodied sweet red fruited palate. A touch of Sous Bois. An excellent Pinot as always from the Applejack Vineyard from Giant Steps. β 6 months ago
