Mix of dark fruits and spices. — 8 years ago
You guys, the 2017 is bonkers good. Joyously bright acid that slices through full flavors of tart, underripe pineapple, apple, and melon all kissed by a whisper of oak. Talk about over-delivering for the price. — 8 years ago
One of the best Malbec in this price range. — 9 years ago

This is one of my favorite Zins in Lodi! It is rich, and it is jammy... but it is well balanced, and can’t be beat when paired with beef, broccoli and sleeping puppies. — 8 years ago
Had a nose of a blackberry cobbler! — 8 years ago
Zingy acidity, 5-spice, black cherry and leather. — 8 years ago
I drank this after using an aerator. Immediately scent of braised beef and fresh rubber on the nose. Meaty flavor on the way down. Truly is best wine under $5 at TJ's — 10 years ago
We both liked this. — 11 years ago
I love this Old Vine bottle: perfect for a summer evening! And I like a spicy Zin: what's the point w/o the spice? — 12 years ago

Very good wine. Smooth, not to dry, definitely can tell it's a Zen! BlackBerry and plum with a smooth finish — 8 years ago
Excellent typical example of good Aussie Grenache. First impression is 'red Clare Riesling'. Clean with ripe red fruit (strawberry fruit roll-out). White pepper with a little heart. Best with a little chill. #blindtasting #australianwinetasting #yangarra #Grenache — 8 years ago

Very nice flavor with strong fruit but not overwhelming. Little bit of spice, but fairly good balance overall slightly biased towards fruit side. Finish is medium long but not very tannic or acidic — 9 years ago
Pretty jammy, good spice. Plum, cherry, and blackberry — 10 years ago
Not all bad... In fact pretty stinking good — 10 years ago

From Joel’s cellar offering a year or so ago. Outstanding freshness and vigor in this one. Light in color as most of the pigment had pasted itself on the sides of the bottle. Deep nose of plum/Healdsburg prune and cedar. Comes across as both primary and tertiary at the same time. Firm acidity with gripping tannins. — 4 years ago
