A nice enjoyable wine and a good value. Rate does great work at Barnett and was pleased to meet and talk with him about his own label. A nice blend of Napa Cab that is fruit forward, but with a strong backbone. Blue and black fruit, oak, nice dusty tannins. Wow. Pinot from Argentina! And it was fantastic. If I tasted this blind, I probably would have called Oregon or burgundy. Super funky upon opening with a bit of iron and stewed red and black fruit. After time in the glass, distinctly stemmy/herbaceous notes showed the use of whole cluster. Rose petal and black cherry finish. Very good structure. Such a cool wine provided by @Arden Barnett . — 5 years ago
