Excellent depth. Went beautifully with a delicate smoked salmon and then a fabulous veal osso bucco — 9 years ago
Grip (volcanic soil) and Wrigley's Juicy Fruit and tar. High elevation green notes. — 10 years ago
So drinkable right now. My colleague made a good point saying that it smells like scotch on the nose...nothing wrong with that. Will get better with age. Drinking great now, tannins are perfect. 2010! best vintage ever for Barolo...get some — 10 years ago

Lovely with roast chicken. — 9 years ago
I consider this a more full bodied wine. Typically a Cab drinker but this Merlot was quite good. Strong plum and cranberry flavors with a bit of a peppery finish. Alcohol content seems high with half glass consumed! Surprised that I am enjoying this one as much as I am. — 9 years ago
Lush fruit integrated with bretty Ness with aplomb. Spicy finish but not too much thought. — 9 years ago
Solid Barolo. Still very young, with some burly tannins, but plenty of cherry to balance it out. Dried rose, leather, earth. Yum. — 10 years ago
Really nice gavi. Recommend — 11 years ago
The pale golden straw color is appealing, while the nose certainly isn’t scaring anyone away. Clean earth notes define the apple, papaya and lime aromas beautifully. The palate shows off-dry pear, apple and Meyer lemon flavors on a bed of acidity. Finishing long, it’s the earth and citrus that stays around after the sip. The wine’s body makes it a lot more versatile that just “salads and sipping.” Winemaker Markus Niggli recommends you pair it with anything off the grill. — 9 years ago
