It was a special night. 26 year old wine, that incredibly felt like it was just bottled. Tannins still present. Rich black fruit, with graphite and pencil shavings. As special as it was to enjoy this bottle with friends, it’s hard to reconcile the value of the wine. We had a Cos De Estournel with this and it showed just as well at a fraction of the cost. — 2 years ago
Nero is Martha’s grape. She spent her training at Cos and became one of the only, if the only, winemaker spotlighting the grape this side of the ocean.
It’s raw, seriously structured, and intensely tart. Mountain forest berries and a camp fire. Pine, mint, menthol, and cedar - Mezcal smoke circling above. Vibrant acid and tannin and ripe for food. Very good. — 4 years ago
Garnatxa i carinyena de vinyes velles , mores i gerds , cos potent, espècies i final mineral. Sant Pau. — 6 years ago
This is one of the best Italian wines I've had. Absolutely beautiful, balanced, nose is powerful and pallet matches. Bing cherry tart pie with a long finish and a little smoke on the nose — 7 years ago
A fascinating bottle. As other reviewers note, hard to tell just what you're smelling here, but definitely apricot/orange and acetone (in a good way). Super dry. Savory - not bright or refreshing - on the palate. Good match for fin fish. — 9 months ago
Tried a few timed. Aged well. The vines of Lilian-Ladouys are found a stone's throw from the Graves of Cos d'Estournel and the Chateau Lafite-Rothschild. Deep Ruby, with inky tones. Aromas of black and blue fruit, smoky notes and soft spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with toasty oak flavors, full body with fine round tannins, long finish ending with earthy mineral character. — 3 years ago
Fantàstica tinta fina, amb el seu punt just de fusta. Vi amb cos, ample en boca i llarg regust. Encara podia haver guardat uns anyets l’ampolla 😅. — 4 years ago
Bigger than I usually go for but 😍 — 6 years ago

Wine tasting in store - very good — 8 months ago
Lighter than the 2021. Still terrific. — 10 months ago
Another generous gift for my Cabernet tasting matching the theme of 2009. I have not tasted this producer before mainly trying Cos and Montrose from Saint Estephe previously. It was more full bodied and silky than expected reflecting the vintage. Black and red fruits. A little lost for words after the Lafite to be honest. Most enjoyable however. — 4 years ago
Served at red wine temperature. Baked apple was the dominant aroma upon opening but transforms into a sour ale nose with air. A creamy palate of white peach , apricot and a strong saline note. A wonderful accompaniment to all my dinner courses; Parisian ham , beef tartare, and fennel sausage. A unique wine that could divide the table. — 5 years ago
Gilles brought from France. So good. — 7 years ago
Tried côte à côte with the Cos D'Estournel '96, albeit the G.Larose was 375ml, this was so intensely concentrated/balanced & showing beautiful intensity of fruit. A true standout, but I've always loved this wine. — 8 years ago
