Purchased at Costco. 2010 vintage. First taste closed and dry. Decanted with aerator tobacco, fig scent astringent feel on the tongue. 3 hrs after decant astringency gone nose has opened up nicely. Nice open berry scent. Luscious mouth feel.

Tried this again, about a year later. Time proved well. The vines of Lilian-Ladouys are found a stone's throw from the Graves of Cos d'Estournel and the Chateau Lafite-Rothschild. Purple, with inky tones. Aromas of black and blue fruit, smoky notes and soft spice. Palate displays black and blue fruits with toasty oak flavors, full body with round tannins. Finish ends with earthy mineral tones.

Beautiful St. Estephe, just evolved enough to take the edge off the tannins, with plenty of dark fruit, cedar, spice, structure, and freshness to please. Fab value!

Uncork this in the morning to drink with dinner. The tannins are no doubt grainier than the 2009, and does not compare in its sheer fruit concentration, but this has the definitive edge in expression of place and a fresher more mineral driven fruit.

After some time to open up it's really starting to shine. #LilianLadouys #Bordeaux

Big, dark, and extracted. Lavender, wood, and spice on the nose. More wood and some graphite on the palate, devoid though of much fruit. Luscious mouthfeel and very dry on the finish, but livened up by pulled pork. Needs way more time. 3rd day was fantastic! Give it time!

Very dark and opaque. Nose earthy and floral. Big but raw taste that says come back in 5 years.
