Absolutely gorgeous mineral core that smells like a fresh spring creek and sour fruit skins, and tastes like a gorgeous distillation of underripe orchard fruit, flowers, and wet stones. Crisp, refreshing, complex, and wonderful. — 9 years ago
A great present to be enjoyed at home. — 12 years ago
Vintage 2007 - Beautiful riesling. Awesome balance with prominent acidity that gives a very vibrant touch to (mild) sweetness. First I smelled nothing, the wine needs air before it gives impressions of minerals/stones, a bit honey and apricot. I simply cannot imagine someone not liking this wine. Great effort! Still too young. — 7 years ago
Sweet; Very drinkable — 9 years ago
Light yellow in the glass. Nose of petrol, citrus, and a herbaceous note. Palate showed dryness that was precise and refreshing. Citrus oils, Lime, unripe stonefruit, and white flowers. Significantly drier than the 89 Spatlese I have tasted, but again this did not disappoint. The wine shows less of its age and more of a different style of winemaking. — 10 years ago

This Scheidt is great! Thank you Florian! — 13 years ago
Beyond lovely. Acidity balanced the sweetness, fruit was present without any tartness. Paired quite nice with the too many fried snacks we ordered, too. Paired wonderfully with the company and at an iconic location. Will remember this bottle for quite a while. — 9 years ago

My first Lauer GG, this is everything I love about his wines compacted like a crushed car into something so dense as to be almost unknowable. Would be curious to know how these drink decades beyond. — 7 years ago
