— 6 years ago
Lots of mint and licorice. Unusual. Nose moved to wet earth and cedar after two hours. Enjoyable. — 6 years ago
Light, complex, easy to sip or enjoy with food. We paired with a variety of flatbread pizzas. — 8 years ago

Third of the reds in our South African blind tasting. Limited production by Noble Hill in South Africa. Made up of 100% Mourvedre and aged in French oak for 36 months. Only 372 bottles produced.
Luckily this showed a lot better than last time, prior bottle was corked. That was at your place @David L . Dark garnet red. Lovely and dark nose with dark cocoa, meatiness, a touch woody and toasty. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Rounded with dark berries on the palate, purple flowers, spices, chalk, dark cocoa and almost a little coconut. A touch sweet but not overpowering. Long and lingering finish. Excellent bottling by Noble Hill. Drink till 2024. — 8 years ago

Spice, dark red fruit, blackberry, black cherry and plum, smooth — 5 years ago
The acidity and structure of this wine make is v special. Also has a looooong finish. So good with food. Honeysuckle and orange blossom on the (lusty) nose. Bergamot for sure. A little cider character. Meyer lemon the palette. Wet stone minerality. Love this wine. — 5 years ago
The 2012 was better, more concentration and spice. It’s still a nice Napa Cab - luxurious dark fruit aroma, cocoa, coffee and textured acidity, elegant oak. — 6 years ago
[from 750] drinking very well right now (2018). Indescribable? Taste from some other axis of space-time-sense? Custard, melon, pineapple, diesel, bandaid, orange spice. . . — 7 years ago
Without Prosecco, how would summer be? Had two bottles, the first at the Pantheon in Rome, the second back in Washignton, DC. Vinum Mundi — 7 years ago
Pretty deep ruby /garnet core , lightening though not a lot at the edges , very big thick slow legs. Certainly secondary aromas now, ceder , licorice , blackcurrant with a meaty undertone , quite interesting and complex . In the mouth more of the blackcurrant fruit, minty notes also , then the tannins kick in. They are ripe but omnipresent , almost a cocoa powder finish with the drying tannins. The mid palate is slightly hollow and lacks a bit of charm. This is a big wine though the acidity is balancing I'm not sure those tannins will ever be resolved. It doesn't come as 'new world' you would think it could be a left bank Bordeaux , a St Estephe perhaps, though the sweeter tannins and slightly alcoholic kick give away another origin. Coming back to this , I think there will probably be limited upside , the wine appear too hollow to really improve. So drink now and over the next 3 years . — 8 years ago
Completamente vale la pena. Hits the sweet spot of quality on the y axis and price on the x axis. Seems like anything blended with a garnacha floats the boat ⛵️ . Idk how I haven't seen this at TJ's yet — 9 years ago

Very odd cork with a metal brace. Reminiscent of a champagne but with larger bubbles. Very lively. Dry and subdued aromas of citrus and pear. Delightful. — 5 years ago
