The was a show stopper wine. Allspice mingles with earthy mineral tones with bright red cherry, cranberry and red current fruit. The palate is rich but restrained with noble austerity to the sour and red cherry, pomegranate fruit. Supple, bright tannins but with a real sense of grip. Long and bright on the finish. Brioche that transmogrifies to scone, with berry esters and edible orchid.
