A label new to me I bought at a Downs Club tasting. A little funk on the nose with almonds and under ripe stone fruit. Impressive if not a little light on the palate with the nose carrying through on to the palate. On the 2nd day this had filled out finishing with a saline minerality. Medium plus intensity and length. Proves once again that the Adelaide Hills is an exceptional area for Chardonnay - think Shaw and Smith M3 Chardonnay. — 2 years ago

Best known for its Sparkling Wines, which have been served at the White House since 1985, beginning with the historic U.S.-Russian Summit Meetings ending the Cold War. A blend of 78% Pinot Noir and 22% Chardonnay & aged 3 years prior to release, showing aromas of red fruit, citrus and spice. Raspberry and cherry flavors come forth with orange zest, earthy spice and tiny flowing bubbles. The wine is well balanced, gentle acidity, some yeast and minerality on the lingering finish. Nice redfruit aromas and flavors, floral, still just a bit of tannic structure, medium-long finish, solid Oregon Pinot. — 2 years ago
One of my absolute favorites. Ripe fruits with a hint of spice and a structured finish. On the liter side for a petite Syrah, almost refreshing. A great wine to share, as it is very easy to drink. Let it sit 30 min before drinking. — 4 years ago
Great nose and color. At almost 5 years old features smoothed Tannins. Dry but not overly so. Nicely done. August 2020. — 5 years ago

It's a rosé Zinfandel but is almost as sweet as a dessert wine — 6 years ago

Blend of Pinot Noir fruit from Dundee Hills sub-AVA, Eola-Amity Hills sub-AVA and Shea Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton sub-AVA. Black raspberry and blueberry fruit with orange zest, cinnamon and chalky mineral notes on the finish. — 4 years ago

Dark ruby. Aromatic blend of red cherries, raspberries, mocha, baking spices, and hints of loamy earth and rose petals. On the palate, it’s a heavyweight, fruit driven Pinot with the density, alcohol, and persistence one would expect from producers like Bevan and Kosta Browne. It’s sourced from a vineyard planted to Dijon clones. Although sure to thrill fans of big Pinot, it’s a bit over the top. — 6 years ago
