Fabulous. Smooth from start to finish. Dark fruit color. Full bodied with dark fruit forward and a smooth balanced finish. Had it with antipasto, blue cheese and dried figs. Amazing. I bet it would mature nicely if I could resist it for that long. — 6 years ago
The perfect wine to have with antipasto consisting of fresh Roma Tomatoes , mozzarella and sardines. Wine was citrus zesty with M+ body. Very moreish. Subtle but luscious black fruit and slight oak and earthy notes on the nose. Well balanced but I found it did need to breathe a bit for me to best enjoy. Had a lovely wine and cheese platter for afternoon snack on Christmas Day. Was fun to enjoy these flavors and how they played with various cheeses and antipasto. — 8 years ago
Memorable wine and reunion. Barolo 1971. With Sergi, after 24 years, Sergi's wife Inoah and Ferruccio. Had it with ravioli al plin with ragout, antipasto piemontese di verdure, wild boar salami and tuma di murazzano. Memorable. — 8 years ago

Leather, cigar tobacco and blackberry. Good tannins, enjoyed with some antipasto — 7 years ago
A bold yet elegant bouquet of cold antipasto on the nose followed by ripe berries, baking spice and eucalyptus. The wine offers a light body but long finish to remember forever. — 7 years ago
Drank outside in front of the fire place with antipasto tray. Very long finish, well structured. Oak notes but very Italian. Enjoyable bottle! — 8 years ago
Super drinkable with small plates, appetizers, or an antipasto plate — 8 years ago
Nice and dry but with enough fruit to be just right. Sitting the deck at The Mansion and it will be perfect with the antipasto and cheese plates that are on the way. — 9 years ago

My new favorite Toscana. Very well balanced. I’ll write a better review on the next bottle. It was awesome with a salad and antipasto. Light and smooth — 7 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide brick rim.
Beautiful nose of sweet plums, cooked blueberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, leather, spices, smoke, tobacco leaf, graphite, vinaigrette, herbs, beef jerky and peppercorn.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, smoke, peppermint, light coffee, light vegetables, cinnamon, vinaigrette and black pepper.
Long finish with round, fine tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a great Brunello. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing great complexity and a great mouthfeel with a very spicy mid palate.
I really loved the nose on this Brunello, I kept smelling on it for a long time.
Needed an hour to open up, and was better every 20 minutes after that. After 3 hours, huge tannins come in with dark coffee and bitter notes.
This 12 year old big boy has at least 5 years in it, and this is a great vintage too.
I paired it with Italian antipasto.
15% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Delish. Crisp nose. Buttery body. Dry finish. Would be great as an aperitif or with rich poultry dishes or antipasto. — 8 years ago
Had this tonight with some antipasto.... amazing! — 9 years ago
This was a pleasant surprise wine for a great price. Chelsea and I enjoyed it immensely with bread, cheese, antipasto salad and Zuppa Toscana (homemade) soup. It was smooth and balanced and very easy drinking. It would pair well with a lit of different foods. I will have to put this on the list to purchase more! — 9 years ago

The description is apt. I can’t believe a 2019vintage is so refined and balanced. Ripe raspberries and hint of vanilla. A very versatile wine with or without food. We had antipasto and short ribs with pappardelle and it was awesome. The bottom of the bottle was way too close to the cork. Can’t wait to try older vintages — 5 years ago
