Tart and slightly ripe cherries, cranberries, and currants with fennel, roasted red pepper, and fresh roses. Tannin is subdued, lovely acidity, and beautifully integrated alcohol. One of my all time favorite Chianti Classicos.

May 2nd, 20172013. I don't speak or read Italian much at all but I'm pretty sure Felsina means rock solid. This is what Chianti is supposed to be. Fruit backed up with savory flavors and generous acid. I couldn't complain about this if I tried. And I'm a great complainer. Versatile. Great value.
