Enjoyed this wine on our AMA Bordeaux wine cruise gala dinner of a bacon wrapped filet with goose fois gras. Much better than the house wine of the evening. — 9 years ago
Fantastic bottle! Big body, black fruits, very dry, high acidity and long finish. Cheers! — 4 years ago

2012 Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie La Landonne
Holeee!
This is amazing stuff. I have never had a better cote rotie. If you can imagine liquid pepper that is the finish of this wine. The Northern Rhone is amazing and never quite duplicated anywhere in the world. I ama better personfor ha ing had this (and withroast pork no less). — 7 years ago
Amazing how much tannin this is packing. Considering this was one of the top 10 of top 100 wine spectator wines one year, it’s a little disappointing. Fun classic spice of a chianti classico, dark dried fruit, length is not quite there. — 8 years ago
On an AMA Bordeaux river cruise with Scott the owner/winemaker. His wines were served tonight and worked well with the foods served. — 9 years ago
This is the wine being served on the first night of our AMA Bordeaux river cruise. Not a lot of depth but pleasantly surprised. — 9 years ago
Hard to follow an 09 Scallop Shelf. Bright. Fruity. A bit flabby in the middle. — 5 years ago

Super rich and delicious example of tokubetsu sake, loaded with gluey umami mouthfeel and waves of cucumber and melon — 6 years ago
Bright red fruit and perfume on nose with balanced minerals and acids with fruit on palate with a touch of earthiness. Delicious and perfect got for the ama hock special. Long finish. Good texture. Great but at $18! Well back then! — 7 years ago

Second night of our AMA Bordeaux cruise. House wine was bad so I brought out this wine that I brought with me. Enjoyed! — 9 years ago
Tom Casagrande
I suppose since this is Castello di Ama I shouldn’t be surprised it’s very good. Gobs of ripe fruit and freshness on the nose, with a nice crushed rock background. In the mouth, it’s dry, fresh as heck, and has good concentration and balance. Totally dry. Phenomenal with Chinese takeout on a warm evening. — 2 years ago
