Truly stunning- a complete wine with power and finesse. Bursting with sweet red fruit. Intense minerality. Ample weight without feeling heavy, and a finish that seems to last all day. The delicacy and sweetness of Volnay with the power and structure of Gevrey. Leather, licorice, tobacco, smoke. In a blind tasting this would be hard for me to differentiate from a 1er cru Burgundy. Easily the best Sancerre rouge I’ve had the opportunity to taste. Will age for 15 years or more. Gorgeous wine. — 6 years ago

Out of all the inexpensive loire roses this year, this pinot noir is probably my favorite. It offers all of that loire funkiness, minerallity and drive but backs it up with ample cherry fruit flavors. Don't think too hard about it...
