The grand finale! Dad brought this. I tasted apricot and agave. Tasting notes were marmalade and barley sugar. I can’t say I could pin “barley sugar” but I am stashing that descriptor for future tastings 🤪 — 2 years ago
This is what Vernatsch is all about!
Light (11.5% alc) and crystal clean yet quite expressive with cherries and plumes and cranberries. There’s also a whiff of lemon peel and a stony, herby undertone.
Crisp & light on the palate and very, very juicy with a pinch of herby spice and a mineral backbone. Despite all it’s lightness this has loads of precision, character & personality. Love it!! — 4 years ago
Earthy, great nose. — 6 years ago
Lovely Weissburgunder from a solid biodynamic producer. Stone fruit, light mineral, edelweiss, lemon curd with a rounded edge. Hard to imagine a wine drinker who would not find this refreshing. Terrific QPR at $12-13 a bottle.

This one is a winner. Delightful and graceful, my guests all loved it. We served it with a miso, coconut salmon curry and it was a beautiful pair. So much juice for the money! And the frizzante really is wonderful. — 4 months ago
More prep for my visit to Alto-Adige in a couple weeks and I’m hoping to stop into Ladeger. Fits my love for expressive aromatic whites. Fragrances of grapefruit and green resin with peaches, apricots, nectarines, and lychee. And always good texture. — 6 years ago
Buttery and creamy. Exquisite

Most classic example of Pinot Grigio I ever tasted. Single Vineyard. Really stands out. — 7 years ago
Old school rustic Italian, quite dark fruited, salty. Medium body. Very tannic on the back end, very structured wine. Substantial acid. Needs a couple hours of air to come together and show properly. Pair with 🍝 for a pretty pretty good time. // turns into something special on day 2 — 7 years ago
This wine pours up in a medium-dark ruby color, with some rosy lavender hints around the rim. The nose hit me as almost unpleasantly funky. And I like funk. There is an extremely earthy quality to the smell, almost burying the dark fruit. The mouthfeel is a bit thin, and the palate shows flavors of plum, black currant and blackberry. Notes of cola become more noticeable on the finish, putting me in mind of a Pinot Noir. It is a clean, fresh sip, with no oak to get in the way. The tannins are tame, so pairing with chicken is probably a better idea than beef. — 5 months ago
Pale amber. Fresh and dried mango and pineapple, golden raisin, yellow fig, marigold steeped in black tea. Crushed white stone. Strong olong tea, fresh herbs... Medium dry to medium sweet? Medium intensity on the nose up a notch on the palate. Medium+ finish. Elevated acidity at 12% abv. — 5 years ago
Frenchie. Maybe best desert wine ever. — 7 years ago
This is delicious. Dry but still fruity and gloriously fizzy. I bought it for the stripes and I was not disappointed. — 7 years ago
Just lovely. — 8 years ago
