Cuvée Cuis 1er Cru Brut Champagne

Double Magnum format; a delicious and exciting way to toast the bride and groom! Loads of citrus with a hint of brioche. A touch creamy. Long finish. A perfect aperitif but pairs deftly with any meal. — 5 years ago

This was a monster out of the gate and held its own. Really impressed. Shows age but not softness. Elegant, open, beeswaxy, beautiful — 11 years ago

Brut Réserve Champagne Blend

Disgorged 2019 - youthful power, rose gold hue, very substantial but then a lingering zest. Gift that keeps on giving. — 6 years ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 1993

Wow. So this young fresh fruity CDP settled in nicely about 30 minutes I. And drank nicely over a couple of hours. At great value on the list. — 7 years ago

Domaine Grand Veneur Les Origines Chateauneuf -du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2013

Family vacation night one in Wildwood.

BlackBerry, licorice, a bit of smoke, and slate. Very good. Drinking well now with a short decant but has many more years left.

Yup... toasted coconut, baked pear, jasmine and citrus. Powerful, striking acidity, depth of flavor, opened up fully after a few hours. — 7 years ago

Les Fournaux Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2005

Fully mature, perhaps even fading a little. Warm cherries, baking spices, a little smoke, and rust on the nose. More of the same on the palate, plus some pleasant tertiary florals and forest notes. Tannins fully resolved, good balance, and reasonable length. A little grippy on the finish - might be residual wood influence, but no obvious oakiness. Nice wine, but I wonder if it might have been in better shape a few years ago. Note that the cork showed evidence of a little leakage, so fully intact bottles might drink younger. — 9 years ago

@Max Kelly excellent note but I'm disappointed to read that a premier cru from that vintage appears to be fully mature.

Yeah, I was surprised too. As mentioned, may have been the cork.
