This is my 3rd and the last bottle over the past year. It definitely sits at its plateau now and fully awake. Difficult to say when the drinking window will close down.
Lots of energy and precision. Cabernet Sauvignon dominant. Perfumed black currant jam with leaves. Complex tertiary aromas make a beautiful bouquet. Balance of tannins, fruits and acidity at its perfection. Tannins have soften but not yet faded away.

A classic. 100% Viura from the Zaconia vineyard, located right outside López de Heredia’s winery in Haro. Fermented in ancient oak vats with indigenous yeasts and aged in used barrels for four years, followed by another 6 years in bottle. Complex nose with oxidative notes. Chamomile, flowers, beeswax, lemon curd. Austere on the mouth, with great acidity and freshness. Long, subtly salty finish. Amazing — 5 years ago

Great stuff. 2012 vintage. Violets, lilacs, some savory notes of grilled meat. Really good acidity keeps this bright and balances the weight of the dark fruit. Tannins give it good finish — 7 years ago

Pale lemon with aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Made from 40-year old vines, aged in 100% stainless steel. On the palate flavors of bright lemon citrus with crisp apple and peach notes. This medium-body wine has crisp acidity, good balance and nice mouthfeel, smooth long finish ending with creamy mineral texture. Very Nice! — 5 years ago
Paleo Rosso is one of the symbols of Bolgheri , and “Paleo” is the common name of a species of grass, which grows wild along the Tuscan Coast; best-known Cab Francs. Deep Ruby with aromas fruit, dried herbs and spice for this 100% Cab Franc. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with leather, cacao and herbs. I completely forgot to post this. My brother from another mother Kirk Alexander uncorked these 2 Absolutely Phenomenal 100 point beauties for us to enjoy just because I came over!!!!!! ! Damn., I’ve got to go to his house more often!!!!!! All kidding aside., we were celebrating Veronica’s (his beautiful wife) birthday and what a truly special Evening.it was. There’s nothing better than uncorking a special bottle with friends that have become like family.

Last night we opened the Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs Brut Vintage 2017. Méthode Traditionelle, 100% Chardonnay from Napa Valley Calastoga, CA.
On the nose there is lemon, lemon curd, brioche, buttered popcorn and nice minerals.
On the palate there is lemon, lemon custard, almonds, apricote, cream and minerality.
The wine is medium bodied with a crisp, clean, complex mouthfeel, medium+ to high acidity and a long fresh vibrant citrus mineral finish. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, please continue staying safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 5 years ago
