Tre Vigne Barbera d'Asti

Not expressive, almost watered down.

Vibrant red fruit, some sour notes

Lots of fruit, a bit simple, a bit less body and structure than the Barbera d’Alba. Also a bit flabby - probably picked a tad over-ripe, as some of the flavors border on jammy or stewed. Like jammy raspberry. Still enjoyable though. The second day, the wine was more expressive but had also started to oxidize. So overall acceptable, but I’ll take the Nebbiolo over this any day.

Serious style of Barbera D’Asti. Dark fruit, cherry, chalk, fennel, mushroom, wild berry, medium body, soft-ish tannins, good acid and raspberry preserve on the finish. Love this, will be amazing after a few years plus.

Bright ruby red color. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted nuts and minerals. Red cherry and wild berry flavors with hints of baking spices and bakers chocolate. Medium bodied with crisp acidity. Solid complexity. Dry tannins. May have slightly passed its peak but still well balanced and tense.

Insanely hot and closed the first night, more open the following afternoon. Deep and brambly

Barbera taken seriously by an awesome producer. Earthy - mushrooms and fennel - on the nose with raspberries peeking through. On the pallet tart cherry, menthol and smooth tannins with a finish of tar, vanilla and raspberries

Dark ruby, intense red cherry, jammy, high alcohol, full body, soft tannin, great intensity, mainly primary fruit, long finish.

Fun, great Barbera. Lots of fruit here. Little acidity.
