Wow! Outstanding! A blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, and 10% Mazuelo and Graciano, and aged for 10 Years in American oak! Bright Ruby with complex aromas of red fruit, spices and smoke. On the palate cherry flavors with herb spice, vanilla, smoky oak, leather and hints of pepper, still very young. Well balanced with smooth tannins and a long lingering finish ending with spice & earthy tones. Very Nice, something really special to set aside in the cellar. I recently opened a 1980 Gem, see prior posts.

Still pretty deep colour more garnet rim . Quite restrained and complex , medicinal and mineral on the nose , deep cinnamon and clove with strawberry . More spiced fruits on the palate , quite high tannin , and elegant refreshing acidity . Shows more age , elegance , length perhaps , though the parts are more resolved . Touch of liquorice on the finish . This is great now but will age also , 10 years or more . Tasted on 31/08/2022
