Earthquake Lodi Zinfandel

Deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruits, spice, oak and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of plum and blackberry with toasty vanilla oak, pepper and cacao wrapped in lively acidity. Fine tannins, medium+ finish, good structure ending with fruit, cedar, spice and earthy tones. Good value!

Feb 25th, 2025I enjoyed this wine, hubby picked up diacetyl, which gave it a butterscotch note that he hated. I dug it. Lots of dark fruits, full bodied. Paired well with fajitas

Dark purple/black color. Aromas of dark berries, sweet baking spices and orange zest. Blackberry, blueberry and huckleberry fruit on the palate with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and cranberry. Hint of something artificial on the long finish. Silky tannins, but very high in alcohol (15.5%). Highly concentrated and intense. Might need a bit more bottle age. Thanks for opening, Keith S!

Dark fruit notes. Big flavors of leather, smoke, bacon, spices and Oak. Full bodied with quite a bit of tannins without being too tannic. Nice and big Zin.
