The Barolo of the south, more or less. One of the better Taurasis I've tried. Mouthful of old world acidity and tannin balanced by wonderful new world earthiness and fruit.

2021/4/21-22 with pork shoulder Neapolitan alla genovese, busciata di tuminia cacio e pepe, etc. Rich with black cherry, iron and spice, but a nice backbone of acid keeping this fresh and tannin giving structure. I am always suspicious of native Italian varieties that see barriques, but it wasn’t intrusive here - whether due to a deft touch, time or both.
