Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend

Blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 5% Graciano, aged in oak for 20 months, deep Ruby with an elegant bouquet of berry fruits, cigar box, spice with earthy tones, a traditional Rioja. On the palate, the wine was silky smooth, elegant with layers of flavors, blackberry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character.

A bit closed at the moment. Even with lots of air this wasn’t super expressive. Polished and very easy to drink. Would like to try again in 3-5.

Earthy and dry. Delicious. Even more delicious because I am in Charleston for a long weekend with great friends.

There was a bit of a harsh edge to this one.

Complex wine with intense notes of blackberry, black cherry, leather, green tobacco leaf, and vanilla. Long finish. Good acid balance for a Rioja .

Great wine!! Paired with Tapas from Jaleo in D.C. Nice mouth feel that opens up as it breaths. Nice n soft not too strong of a taste, beautiful n delicate ✨️ bought the 06 vintage for next time

Dark cherry, cranberry, cinnamon, clove, American oak, leather, cola, caramel, black pepper, cocoa, and eucalyptus. Medium alcohol, medium tannin, and high acid.

Good fruity-style Rioja, that went perfectly with ground-beef tacos. Nothing extraordinary, and priced too high for this style of Rioja, but definitely a good choice for those looking for a fruity Rioja to accompany food that needs the fruit.

Smells of dark fruit … plums, prunes, and a bit of cherry hard candy. Initial taste of cherry jolly ranchers followed by tobacco. Definite sourness that lingers on the finish.
