Not a particular fan of this vintage, but Ciacci's prowess shows through.

Tasted blind and thought it was a Barbaresco. Lighter color but amazing flavor profile. Very approachable.

#Sangiovese #wine from the South East slope of #Montalcino.

Warm brown color, with reddish brown center. Aromas for days with cherry cola, stewed cherry, kalamata olive, black olive, slightly seasones wood. Acid and tannin are harmonious, leveled and consistent.

Has a fresh and modern take; light on it's feet. Hot toast with a maple syrup nose. Bright fruit with a youthfulness side displaying cherry, dried dark fruits and binder tobacco leaf. Polished tannins paired well with the acidity. Supple finish, that lingers. Good to the last drop.

Happy Wednesday. I have opened the 2011 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Brunello de Montalcino.

The nose is very pronounced with nice fruit notes of cherry, plum, raspberry, licorice and earthy notes.

On the palate I have tart cherry, plum, red raspberry, ripe strawberry, spice, herb and dry soil.

This wine has a full body that has very good balance - medium+ acidity and smooth medium + tannins.

Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🖒
