5 reds tonight. 5 Bonds. Insane. I’m not going to try and evaluate each one as if they were crazy different because honestly, I found it fairly easy to determine all were from the same producer. That being said, I guessed all 5 reds were from the same producer and waffled between a horizontal or vertical...I ultimately chose vertical (which was wrong). I guessed all were Napa cabs. To me, this tastes the oldest, so I guessed this was an ‘09 (beginning of a 5 yr vertical). Lots of dusty red and black fruit. This was the most mellow.

May 28th, 2023A dark blackberry color. The nose is full with currants and cassis with earthy, cedar and coffee aromas. Tastes of red fruit, cedar and coffee with a spice, coffee and chocolate finish . A night before Mother’s day and day after son’s 16th b-day celebration.

Decanted 1 hour(decent chunky sediment). An irresistible dark inky/red color after all these years. Pritchard hill wine, Napa. On the nose: herbs, oak, cassis, earthy. Taste: red fruit, cassis, meaty, cedar, coffee.....some alcohol not fully integrated, slight bitter but smooth tannin at the end....decent long finish
