Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

A complex effort, fruit from 10 vineyards across the appellation, no other winery does that with Nebbiolo, watercolor design on label portrays the shape of these vineyard sites. Ruby with rich bouquet of fruit, spices, leather, and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and ripe raspberry with notes of cinnamon and tobacco. Long finish, nice balance with fine dusty tannins ending with fruit and smoky earthy notes. Enjoyable, will get better!

2015 vintage was excellent. So balanced and true to form. This was one of the better Barolos in this price bracket I’ve had.

This Barolo had no fruit and just bitter tannins.

Somm recco…..Was hoping for a bold barolo but this isn’t it - perfectly pleasant, actually kind of light, holds the fruit well, but at the end unremarkable. Would have mistaken for a Barbera

Cherry blossoms incarnate. Nothing more.

Characteristic Nebbiolo tint. Crushed roses, nice acidity, dry, and not super tannic, just enough. Love the gulpability here. Not amazing, not basic, just level.

Tannic and dry, with raspberry, dried flowers, and a hint of leather on the nose. Almost like a mid-weight Bordeaux. A good wine, but not quite great. The rare affordable Barolo, though.
