Barolo classico from Poderi #Oddero ❤️ I love the beautiful vibrant, semi-translucent ruby color of a young Barolo. Distinctive tar and roses with grippy tannins - will take time for them to smooth out. Juicy cranberry, smoky wood. Will be a beauty in a couple of years. — 4 years ago

Evolving faster than one would hope. Nose was fantastic with med + intensity and clear notes of rose, truffle, crushed stones, ripe black and blue fruit, and an exotic zing. Firm tannins, low acid, and high abv lead to an off balance palate. Complexity lacked with all notes muted. Medium finish. I am a little puzzled and don't know if this wine will come together with age and extended decant or not...?
