Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2008

This was opened and we enjoyed a few glasses before recorking and reapproaching 24 hours later, at which point it was really singing. Yellow peach, pear and medley of orchard fruit, layered with pressed yellow flowers, dried persimmon, and notes of vanilla and bourbon. So delicate. Such fine bubbles. Saltwater taffy and some caramel and rock salt on the palate. Subtle tannic echo. Mesmerizing. — 7 months ago

@Peter van den Besselaar better to rephrase- it was good but reticent upon opening, so we recorked it and then tried again after 24 hours, at which point it was really amazing.

Vi d'Agulla Petillant Blanc Muscat Blend

A lower ABV option at 10.5, it’s the perfectly light and refreshing! Persistent and smaller bubbles, with notes of green apple, stone fruit, and citrus. — 5 months ago

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin

Moscow Yellow Label Brut Champagne Blend

Tart apple aroma. Looks like pale spun gold with medium bubbles. First sip is fine and clean, with a hint of apricot and yeast. Tangy finish becomes more pronounced with further sips. — 6 months ago

From Cambridge Wines Cyber Monday. Smells like feet lol, taste-wise I’m getting grapefruit, maybe some vanilla, sour apple 🤔 UPDATE: ok, this has really opened up and the 👣 has subsided. Still grapefruit but also chamomile. Lovely ❤️ — 6 months ago

Moscato

Drank this a few years ago and rated it a bit lower. They must have stepped up their game because this is one of the tastiest moscatos out there. Sweet (not too sweet) and smooth. Perfect for summer. Award-winning and I can see why. — 5 years ago

At dark chocolate pairing and tasting. Brings out honey and stone fruit flavors when paired with Dove dark chocolate. Similar but more restrained pairing with Ghirardelli 72%. Same but more bitter with Scharffenburger 82% — 5 years ago
