Meaty red raspberry fruit. Big and bold. Yum. — 9 years ago
This is more along the lines of silky dark fruit than meat and pepper. Not my favorite style of Syrah but very well made — 9 years ago

Nicely done. Integrated black cherry and blackberry with mocha. Fine tannins. — 11 years ago
New ice wine producer for me from Yakima Valley. Paired well with Hedy's ice cream & sorbet creation. Nice array of stone fruits, marmalade, nuts, dry pineapple, wet stones, very good soft minerality, beautiful acidity, a thick, rich well polished finish with just the right amount of (RS) sugar. — 9 years ago

2006 Cavatappi Winery Nebbiolo Maddalena Red Willow Vineyard - An Italian style Nebbiolo from Washington state? Yessir... And it's tasty too. Very Italian in style. — 12 years ago
Delicious! Had it as part of a wine flight at Salish Lodge in WA. Celebrating our 2yr anniversary of the day we met. — 8 years ago

Visited the winery in Walla Walla and this wine is a winner with full strawberry aromatics and solid acidity. Can use more time in the bottle but is hard to resist drinking now. Well made from quality fruit. — 8 years ago
A little Rosé magic from Sleight of Hand on Christmas Eve. The Magicians Assistant Rosé is one of better Rosés I had recently. On the nose; pink rose petals, beautiful fragrant soft minerals, powdery chalkiness and lean fruits of; watermelon near the rhine, cherries, strawberries & pink grapefruit w/ a touch of sugar. The mouthfeel is medium, rich and a touch gluey. The palate fruits match the nose. Minerals that grip softly, just the right amount of powdery chalkiness, pink roses, watermelon Jolly rancher, perfect round acidity and an elegant, balanced finish. Merry Christmas everyone ! May it be joyous! 🎁🎄❄️⛄️🥗 — 9 years ago

Well rounded, smooth, cherry, cocoa, and tobacco notes — 10 years ago
Nearly two years since I last open one of these and it has definitely seen better days. It's only seven years old. Initial barnyard funk gives way to a host of aromas—leather, cured meat, musty (Brettanomyces?), teriyaki beef jerky. Loads of black fruit, soy sauce and prunes with smooth tannins. I have one more of this vintage. Drink 'em if you got 'em. I certainly will be. — 11 years ago
Outstandingly bold yet smooth. Strong earthy flavors and berries. — 11 years ago
A rich and smooth Syrah. One of the best in Washington. — 12 years ago
This is from a very old vine classic style all native yeasts 100% Bouchet and red willow vineyard two of the oldest vineyards very cool sites pink grape fruit jolly rancher candy just a touch of new oak. Ripe melon fruit tongue tingly mineral notes at the end. Bright and fresh style of SB leaves the tongue salivating for food. Finish 40+ excellent + — 12 years ago

Another year, another failed laptop to rebuild, so why not resurrect a Rose I aged for just the occasion? Salmon pink with an orange tinge, excellent clarity. White pepper note in the nose. Strawberry, orange-grapefruit and white pepper in the mouth, crisp, dry, slight skin astringency on the finish. — 7 years ago
