Small group for this month's WTF wine meet up, so why not hit up Fort Worth's best BYOB?
As soon as I gave this a whiff, I knew a fair bit of cab franc was incorporated. No green pepper, though. Leather, raspberries, kirsch, and a touch of cedar on the nose. At a point in its life where it's mimicking Bordeaux at best it can. The body and finish have very little tannic grip. Dirty cherries, and fig leaves. Thanks for bringing Bill! — 8 years ago
The nose is a 10 at this point. Mint, cinnamon, herbs, nutmeg. Palate is super balanced between red fruit, minerals, and spice. The youngest Dunn I've had- probably opened too early but WTF you only go around once (plus I have a few more). The only downside? Wafer thin wax capsule that powders upon opening. — 9 years ago
A really good value. Needs at least one hour of air. Excellent interplay of asphalt, wood smoke, berry, baked goods, and flint aromas. The palate is all about red and blue fruit with balanced acid/tannin/alcohol, and just-right body, a silky texture, and length. WTF is with the sub-90 ratings?! This wine greatly overdelivers. — 10 years ago
WTF! Super Bowl...1yd line...no Beast -mode!?! Stephan's Estate....right call and awesome. — 10 years ago
Garnacha, Syrah and Garrut...wtf is Garrut? Not in Wine Grapes book, but I say it's delicious! — 12 years ago
July's monthly WTF group meet up. Blind tasting with a theme of French wines. Bravo to all those who joined...great wines!
One of the few Cote Rotie's I've had. Very enjoyable Syrah but I guessed Grenache Blend. Spice to it, mainly white pepper. Vanilla and full bodied. Others compared it to an Australian blend. Lots going on and definitely delicious. Nice @Bill Makens ! — 8 years ago

Didn't really have to blind guess this as it was the only champagne. No idea what this cost but it was awesome. Singular strand of bubbles. Crisp. Toast, brioche, pink lady apple finish. Great champagne. Thanks Donnie! — 8 years ago
Wtf. Wtf. This wine is stupid delicious. Drunk over a period of 6 months (thank you coravin) but tonight, with pizza pie, in America. Just makes me wanna say boobs. Don't know why. — 10 years ago

Left bank vs right bank WTF Group night. People paired up and poured wines in pairs with same vintage and opposite bank. Everything enjoyed blind.
@Delectable Wine : This is a Saint Emilion Bordeaux. I didn’t see it in the database.
This was a random pick by me at the local wine shop. JSuckling 95 and RParker 94. Unique right bank. After about 2hrs in the decanter, it had a bit of funk to it that many left banks have at pop and pour. Cali reminiscent. Dark fruit profile with dark chocolate. Dirty chocolate covered cherries, fleshy berries on the palate and fantastic aromatics.
