Oberrotweiler Spatburgunder 2019

Medium ruby . Quite exuberant, spiced cherry , strawberry , touch of smokiness . On the palate quite round and rich , juicy sweet red fruits, ripe cherry, raspberry and strawberry jam with enough acidity to balance . Ok length, rounded but slightly noticeable tannins , with a touch of alcoholic warmth . Quite a crowdpleaser , generously fruited , well made . Drink now and over the next 5 -7 years — 5 months ago

Tart. Very tart. Needs air. Could be a Burgundy. I would let this mellow out or keep for 3 more years or so. Forest floor limes? Cherry. — 4 years ago

Dry Pinot Noir 2012

For entry German Spätburgunder at under $20, I highly recommend. Cherry, baking spice, medium+ acidity, mineral in the soil profile and mouthfeel is making me think of effervescence (fitting, Gerolstein is not too far, and Kaiserstuhl is a volcano). Drink now. — 7 years ago

GG Kirchberg Weissburgunder 2015

Amazing #pinotblanc Considering it's 2015 and it's lively and fresh. Tremendous upside for aging longevity. Tropical notes of firm pineapple (not sweet, think rind). Buzzing acidity with a medium/light palate. Loved the #wine. — 4 years ago
