Big fruit forward then a dusty dark fruit in the middle. Then a quick dusty finish. — 3 years ago

Incredible structure, full bodied deliciousness — 10 months ago
Currently about 5 hours east of Melbourne in east Gippsland tasting this brilliant William Downie Pinot Noir. See several previous Delectable notes from earlier vintages. This wine manages to combine light to medium weight with medium plus intensity. Red fruited with Sous Bois. Downie is a gifted winemaker working in an excellent terroir for Pinot Noir. Would like to have more access to his wines up in Queensland. — 2 years ago

I’m getting citrus and fruity notes from this one. I am surprised I like this. It has a light body and is easy to drink. Yay — a year ago
So good! Buy again. $12 at Brookshires — 3 years ago
OMG was this good. Surprisingly accessible in its infancy. The wine is clear and light colored red with very mild tannins. Loaded with dark berries, both the sweet and acidic side. As it got a bit more air, the 65% Zin in the blend showed through with delicious jammy-ness. The rest of this shipment go in the cellar for a least a few years.. — 4 years ago
Really enjoy as an alternative to Hahn! — 5 years ago

Pulled from the wine fridge and double-decanted about 90 minutes prior to service; enjoyed over the course of three hours. The 2005 Bougros pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of marmalade, dried apricot, cashews, chalky minerals, leesy, and slightly sherried. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and super chalky.
This improved dramatically as it came up to temperature and had some real time to stretch its legs. It showed all the hallmarks of well aged GC Chablis from a solar year: powerful, dried fruit; the chalk; the acid; its creamy, leesy texture. The sherried, oxidative notes seemed to dissipate over time, freshening up a bit after being cooped up for so long. Bravo! Drink now and before 2030. Thanks Andy! — 10 months ago
