Richer, denser, with more weight yet still very fresh, very fine and with loads of character.
Cherries & cranberries galore with touch of undergrowth, mushrooms and herby spice.
On the palate this is not that light, with slightly chewy yet very juicy tannins, brilliant acidity, a tea like mouthfeel. Complex, layered, elegant. This is quite exceptional! — 6 years ago
Absolutely beautiful straight out the bottle. Drinks like a vintage PC burgundy. So elegant. Perfect Spat for me! Unfortunately such limited quality.. — 8 years ago

My parents come from the ABC generation so convincing them to try a german chardonnay wasn't easy...this wont be a problem in the future! Getting your hands on this wine is becoming increasingly difficult and you can see why. A beautiful wine with depth and balance, precision and expertise that will only improve with time. Truly a classic under german wines — 2 years ago
