Have not had in 3.5 years and wow this is drinking so well. A superstar. Nose is all wet earth, decay, sweet spices and macerated cherries. Palate is a wonder of juicy cherry fruit, freshness and layered complexity. Dead leaves, buoyant acidity and a long, lingering finish. Needs some time to open but man is this great out of the bottle. As this airs the palate complexity is so compelling. The tannins are so oh so fine. This after many hours was so elegant and fine. Meaty and pure. This is drinking perfectly now after an hour open. — 8 months ago
A wine full of pear, apple, elderflower and peach flavors in a real round, intense mouthfeel. A nice dry taste with the presence of slate and creaminess — 3 years ago
Starts with fragrant Austrian cherries 🍒 and hint of Madagascar vanilla to boot! A light to medium body along with a refined sweetness at the end. Supple, ripe and a detectable wine to share with those you love most! — 5 years ago
This is an accidental pour... I wanted to open one other Robert Weil erste lage Riesling trocken wine and didn't pay enough attention... well, this is probably much too young, but we like it anyway! The nose is slightly muted with lemon skin, a petroly thing, rose petals, elder flower, a touch of vanilla. Wow this is a bit unusual when compared to the usual german Riesling numbers I am used to. There is almost a tiny strawberry jogurt touch too. The palate is showing a great acid drive, some massive width, some grip all along, lemon zest, lemon juice, that same jogurty note all along... The finish starts with a massive, spherical, mid palate that powers up a real massive complex finish with lemon peel, strawberry jogurt that goes on for almost a minute. This is probably too young but this is a monster of a wine too. Hat's off! — 6 months ago
Pale lemon with aromas of white flesh fruits, spice and herb notes. On the palate white peach, melon and tangy lemon citrus flavors with earthy tones and spice. Well balanced, medium finish ending with lemon zest, wet stone and slight yeasty notes. Very Nice value. — 3 years ago
