Callie gave me this bottle, which Joris buys in bulk. Didn’t know what to expect from South Africa. Holy moly! Lush, savory, medium bodied, well-integrated tannins. Greatly exceeded my expectations. Wish I could find more of this. — 6 years ago

Second of the Sauvignon Blancs at Klein Constantia.
Light greenish yellow with floral, lemon grass and green notes on the nose. High acidity (7/10) with a medium body. Granny smith apples on the palate with some lemon zest. Medium plus finish with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Drink till 2022.

Very distinct flavor. Cooking and drinking! — 9 years ago
Förtrollande färg. Honung, saffran, torkade kryddor, nektarin och lite kex. Angränsar halvtorr men nog den ganska låga syran som lurar än. Oavsett, väldigt gott. — 6 years ago
Pleasant and smooth with light red meat dishes Spicy food will spoil the flavours. Reminds me of fynbos early Karoo morning. Magic — 7 years ago

Super nice good value I'll never not like it — 8 years ago
Cabernet Franc is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity as a varietal wine, and this is an exemplary effort. Dark ruby in color, the tannic structure is medium, and the cherry and blueberry fruits really shine through. The finish manages to be both slightly sweet and a touch tart. I recommend chilling and then decanting for perhaps an hour. — 9 years ago
Slight strawberry flavour, very sweet. Big fan. — 5 years ago
I really love this wine, and bought several bottles after a SA wine tasting. Unfortunately I didn’t keep good notes, but I remember it being easy drinking and a good pairing with food or alone. — 6 years ago

Last of the Sauvignon Blancs at Klein Constantia.
Light greenish yellow. Very fresh on the nose with white floral notes, a little nutty, lovely white and stone fruits as well as some gooseberries. Heavy acidity (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with citrus notes as well as some other lighter fruits and balanced throughout. Long finish. Drink till 2023.

2013 Charles Smith Klein Vyd Bordeaux blend
This is crazy good. one of the most delicious young can based wines i have had from WA. lots of fruit and concentration with good complexity. i have a few more bottles that i can't wait to taste in 4-6 years. this has the stuffing to last 15 easy but it won't need anything like that to reach greatness. run don't walk to find some. — 9 years ago
