Last of batch. Golden color with good sweet floral nose and hints of petrol. Balanced on palate with acids that are now mellowed and still lively taste and finishes with supple notes of sweet fruit. Great value when bought at $12! 9% ABV. Was first in US in '09. Finished all six! — 7 years ago

Weekly Wine Committee. 1 sparkler, 3-4 whites, 3-4 reds and 1 dessert wine format. Served blind.

I called this Alsatian Pinot Gris as there was a fair amount of fleshy, yet round, fruit skin. Cantaloupe and melon, mainly. But about 30mins later, the sweetness jumped out of the glass and it became a nice example of German Riesling. Just needs time. — 5 years ago

Stunning. More precise and focused than Koberner. Tight, taut, backwards, lean and mineral. I like. Citrus, stone fruits, lemon candy, herbal, floral, very complex. Super mineral as well. Dry tree bark as all sorts of herbs and natural forest scents. It unfurls incredibly. Super aromatic and notable complexity. Palate is terrifically juicy and also very structured. So dense and complex with terrific structure and purity. What depth! Wow. Like a skyscraper in structure, but so skinny, nimble and clean. So pure and electric with nice richness on the finish. This is young and has so much going for it. Structure of a top GG. Unreal complexity and endless depth. I can’t wait to see where this ends up. — 5 years ago
