WKND

California Sparkling Blend

Yummy bubbly.

Live everyday like it’s the weekend with this exuberant sparkling wine.

Some people save bubbly wines for special occasions, but with WKND you don’t have to. This Spanish white helps you celebrate the everyday. Made from organically-grown grapes sourced from La Mancha, this is a light, quaffable sparkler that shows a vibrant nose of tropical and yellow fruits and white flowers. Plays well with others, pairing perfectly with everything from appetizers to spicy cuisine to main dishes. Transport yourself to your happy place and carpe any diem with WKND. Tasting notes of lime zest, white flowers, white peach.

Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir 2010

Nose is dominated with cola and raspberries. Tannins are still prominent, giving it a rustic sense. The acidity is brisk. Finishes with somewhat tart cherries, and black olives, in a pleasant way. Shows purity and has echoes of a burg grand cru.

A big shout out and HNY to our new friends, and old, on DL. We trust that 2017 is going to be a smash hit for all. Carpe diem 🍾🎈

Agmon Dry Red Blend 2012

Yotam Sharon
9.0

Upper Galilee Cab-Sauv with some Merlot and petit Verdot. Opens up with air to reveal red fruits with hints of licorice and a fresh herbal note. Medium bodied and balanced, with soft tannins, this wine is remarkably fine and harmonious given its young age, origin and the rather warm harvest. It shows the deft hand of urban winemaker Malkiel Hadari in fashioning his micro-cuvées. — 10 years ago

Carpe Diem Côtes du Ventoux Rouge 2003

Nose: buttery, red fruit, earthy. We did a quick aeration. Lots of sediments. Feels warm. Balanced, but with higher tannins. Great as a stand alone. I could see this pair well with dessert. Some sort of fruit pie. — 10 years ago

Marienthaler Trotzenberg Spätburgunder 2014

Carpe diem Spätburgunder. Paul Schumacher 2014. Nice varietal nose of small red berries and some metallic dimension but it is a bit too discreet. The palate is velvety with a nice acid frame. Small sour cherries. Nice finish with a touch of salt. Very lovely wine ! — 9 years ago

Anderson Valley Chardonnay 2010

California Chardonnay in burgundy style. Lack of oak is a nice change of pace and as a result the wine paired well with both mahi mahi and veal tenderloin. — 10 years ago
