Terrifically balanced Cabernet with just a kiss of bret. Nice mix of red and black fruits plus refreshing acidity and soft tannin. Delicious on its own but would be stellar with tenderloin. — 6 years ago
From Walsh. Going there in Feb. would buy again. — 7 years ago
Ogier's Cote Rotie seems to come to mind when I tasted this. Riper of course, but still showing elegance. Bright with just the right amount of oak, silky tannins. Impressive Barossa shiraz - will need to try a bottle to confirm.
Note: Gary Walsh awarded this 95 points suggesting that this release reminded him, “of how Rockford Basket Press used to taste.” — 8 years ago

At 7 years old, this Nate Walsh build is hitting its prime! Powerful reduction/concentration has happened in the cellar. Pure black cherry liquor! Acid is woven almost seamlessly into the polished tannin mid palate & finish. PERFECT for my authentic Bolognese/Rigatoni entree :) — 5 years ago
Nate Walsh and his Terroir Testimony. Year after year, he crafts liquid, articulate, honeydew wine...this one aged to perfection! 2014 allowed for plenty of acidity - and this the ideal match to a honey-baked ham with Roo Scalloped Potatoes!! — 7 years ago
Insanely good •. Primary, carbonic and utterly delicious. Thanks @Chris Walsh and balanced wine selections. Super pure. Like Beaujolais on steroids — 7 years ago
The average rating of this wonderful bottle of funky freshness needs a lift. I think I'll do just that. Slightly chilled in 80+ degree weather on a SoCal evening does not offend. @Courtney Walsh ever had? Silverlake Wine has this for under $15! — 8 years ago
Smooth, silky, delicious. Thanks Mom & Dad. :) — 9 years ago
Nice Blend from Graves. 50% Merlot, 50% Cab. Enjoying this with the Walsh family. — 9 years ago

Excellent sav blanc with fine balance, bite, and zest. Great food wine. Great winery! 2017 vintage. — 5 years ago
Gary Walsh gave this 97, so 3 of us went thirds on a single bottle ($100) to take our drinking into new territory. Drank over 3 hours. Continually evolved with ridiculous complexity and length. No more than medium bodied with a spectrum of black, violet, red fruits. Herbal and spice tones, each of us picked up something different. Beautifully fresh fruited, tannin hardly there yet clearly there. I can’t quite do 97 as I’m a little skewed to something a bit bigger, so 96+ for me. — 7 years ago
A wine from one of many stops while on an Oregon-Washington themed wine cruise. I was pleasantly surprised by the 2015 Puffin Oregon Pinot Gris made by Ray Walsh, former winemaker at King Estate. King Estate's jewel is their Pinot Gris, and this unlikely label sold in an equally unlikely place—proprietor Steven Sinkler sells Puffin from his bespoke shop, The Wine Shack in touristy Cannon Beach—bears the same fingerprint, the same regal pedigree. At least, it's as regal, I think, as Pinot Gris can be. Dappled aromas of white flowers, dewy pear, Granny Smith apple, and lemon zest. And akin to King Estate wines, it's beautifully balanced with sur lie aging lending structure to vivid acidity and talcy minerality. Bravo! — 8 years ago
Fresh, great acid all the way through. Coconut flavours, just enough heft from the chard. — 9 years ago

This is exactly what I remember order Northgate winds tasting like… A pleasant touch of florality and sweet herbal notes mixing with creamy Oak — 5 years ago
