Lots of tannin, acids early. Opened up after an hour and was more pleasant.

Not much on the nose. Some decent spicy dark fruit, prunes and black cherry with a touch of earth. The subtle fruit, however, is marred by a bitter, over-oaked finish that throws the whole taste off balance.

Considering this is not a grand cru estate it is still drinking quite decently after 15 years. Getting a little longer in the tooth. But there was no wine left in the bottle.

Great entry level Boudreaux.
Needs time to unwind but when it does, dark fruit, cocoa,leather, cedar and terroir are unleashed.
