A joint venture of Jorge Ordonez, Bodegas Borsao and others, in conjunction with Chris Ringland. Dark Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas, from 40+ year old vines and aged for 16 months in oak. On the palate flavors of ripe plum and black fruits with cacao, spice and smoky notes. Soft tannins, vivid acidity ending with gentle oak spice on the long finish. Wines from Spain are superb and at great values, especially Bodegas Alto Moncayo wines. — 5 years ago
Good every day wine. Repeat depending on price — 6 years ago
Dried red fruits and earthiness on the nose, tart cherry up front, then a pepper finish that lingers. Very nice! — 7 years ago
Holds up and is quite delicious but no need to age. — 7 years ago
Very nice but fading. Definitely opened up after some time in glass. I think 3-5 years is the sweet spot. — 8 years ago
A little smoke on the nose as well as black Cherry, Cherry pie on the palate — 5 years ago
Very easy on the palate but also just complicated enough to be enjoyed with a cheese plate or juicy steak! — 6 years ago

Holy ****! This is good. Move over Oregon! Tart raspberry, strawberry, and forest floor to the max balanced by tremendous acidity and smooth tannins. Clusters are hand selected from 65 year old vines and aged 14 months in neutral oak. The structure and character remind me of some higher end Oregon Pinots but with more concentration. Decant for 2 hours to let it open up - then enjoy. 2017 vintage on Jan 17, 2019 — 7 years ago
This wine is made by Dan Standish who started his career by traveling all over the world learning the skill of winemaking. He returned to Australia to make wine at Torbreck. After making Torbreck, he starting his own project. This wine is produced from a vineyard with 100 year old vines with a yield of only a 1/2 ton on fruit per acre. In comparison to quality Napa producers, their yields are 2-3 tons per acre. Dan is absolutely one of the very best producers in Barossa.
On the nose, mulberries, olallieberries, blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum, blackberries, black cherries, dark berry cola, vanilla, dark spice, black pepper, dry crushed rocks, limestone minerals, soft leather, saddle-wood, coffee grounds, black licorice, dark, rich soil, lavender and violets.
The body is full, rich, ruby, lush and very inky. The texture is elegantly sexy. The 06 is still youthful & fresh. It still needs more time but, it’s delicious tonight. The length, tension, structure and balance are just coming into it own. mulberries, Olallieberries, Boysenberries, blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum, raisins, blackberries, black cherries, dark berry cola, vanilla, dark spice, black pepper, dry crushed rocks, limestone minerals, soft leather, saddle-wood, coffee grounds, black licorice, dark, rich soil, purple flowers, lavender and violets. The acidity is round and beautiful. The finish is long, thick, ruby, lush, elegant, well balanced with deep heat penetrating dark spices that rise off the palate and lasts several minutes. The 06 is still 5 years from it peak.

Not sure the vintage is correct. The bottle just says Breca Garnacha. We love it!! Very juicy blackberry notes and long finish, not acidic or too much of anything. Is bold, but very drinkable on its own. Running out to buy more! — 4 years ago
Pale lemon with aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Made from 40-year old vines, aged in 100% stainless steel. On the palate flavors of bright lemon citrus with crisp apple and peach notes. This medium-body wine has crisp acidity, good balance and nice mouthfeel, smooth long finish ending with creamy mineral texture. Very Nice! — 5 years ago
Old vine Garnacha from the Calatayud Region of Spain. Aromas and flavors of ripe plum and dark cherries. Hints of leather and sweet spices. Bright and bold, but there is a bit of sharpness on the finish. — 6 years ago
Dark Ruby with a tawny rim. Savoury plum with earthy dusty notes on the nose. Trademark H of G silky palate with sweetness and a little barnyard - medium weight but with M plus intensity. Still on the plateau in its 27th year verging on its 28th. Easily Australia’s best single vineyard Shiraz bearing in mind that Penfolds Grange is multi regional. A lovely old Australian Shiraz with its ancient old vines - always delivers. I will drink my last one in the next 6 to 12 months. — 6 years ago
